What Compass Nomad is and what it is not

Compass Nomad is not a tour operator and not a travel agency. We advise travellers who are on the road themselves, and we come along as a guide when you want one.

We do not sell accommodation, transport or meals. We make the introduction, and you book and pay directly with the host or the local provider. There is no package here that bundles several such services into one price, and nothing is booked through this website.

Whatever is agreed in your case, we put it in writing before the journey.

Liability for the content of this site

Details on routes, driving times, road and piste conditions, places and prices come from our own knowledge of the ground and are given in good faith. We cannot guarantee that they are accurate or complete.

Conditions change. A piste that was passable in spring can be impassable after rain. Check anything you rely on once more when you are there.

Taking part is at your own risk

Hiking, driving on pistes and staying in the desert carry risks that cannot be ruled out entirely. Taking part is at your own risk.

Suitable equipment, being in fit condition and sufficient insurance cover are your own responsibility. Travel health, accident and repatriation insurance are a matter for the traveller.

Anyone driving their own vehicle remains responsible for it. What we tell you about routes and pistes are recommendations, not instructions.

This website links outwards in a few places, for instance to WhatsApp or to our Facebook page. We have no influence on what is published there. Responsibility for that content lies with the respective provider.
